Letter: Fun in the mud

The Basalt High School Leadership Council invites the whole Roaring Fork Valley to join us for our annual, 2-mile Longhorn Stampede obstacle-course mud run. The race is May 21 at 11 a.m. at the high school. Obstacles include a giant water slide, multiple mud pits and a huge hay-bale climb. All ages are welcome; just be prepared to have fun getting dirty and wet!

If you preregister online, the cost is $15. Otherwise, get to Basalt High School at 10 a.m. on the day of the race to register for $20. A T-shirt is included in the cost of your entry fee. Stick around after the race for doughnuts from Coloradough and a trunk show by Lululemon. We are grateful for our main sponsors — the Basalt Lions Club and Alpine Bank.
