Letter: Freedom of speech no longer a reality
Freedom of speech no longer a reality
The suspension of an actor on an A&E channel “reality” program is yet another example of the politically correct police run amuck and exerting its presumed influence.
The A&E executives’ sense of “reality,” I guess, is different from mine, and apparently somebody’s personal and religious opinions are subject to censure.
The offended parties demand an apology for the offender’s religious beliefs. Is this the way we do it in the United States of America? Sounds a bit more like Germany in the late 30s.
Let the offended parties and the executives know what you think of their strong-arm tactics while we still have freedom of speech.
