Letter: Fluoride still works

Many, many years ago, doctors and scientists discovered a town in Texas where the population had brown teeth and didn’t have the tooth decay that was everywhere else in America. They studied the area and found out that it was its naturally fluoridated water that miraculously prevented mass bad, rotten teeth.

Because of this discovery, water fluoridation became the common American practice to prevent tooth decay in our country. It worked and still works. Oh, that’s why fluoride is in toothpaste.

Don’t be silly. Fluoride in our water systems keeps most of you smiling.

A true American story with just the steak … oops, the facts.
