Letter: Find a complete immigration answer

Illegal immigration is finally getting into a serious debate, thanks to Donald Trump. Securing borders is the cornerstone of his policy. It’s unclear what else he is suggesting for illegal immigrants. Those born here should have a pathway to citizenship if they are clean with the law. Others also should have a pathway if they’re law-abiding the entire time here.

Here is why: We let our borders to be porous for too many years. Farmers wanted cheap employees. Let’s admit our role in this crisis and take responsibility to some extent.
