Letter: Filling my heart
Filling my heart
Dear Editor:
I got me a new pup, last month, another Norwegian, Loki (Norse mythology for “Prince of Mischief!), and he’s a beaut. Hope to get him registered as a service dog soon and teach him to recognize if I’m being over-served!
I’ve heard of service dogs who can recognize gluten in a restaurant food item. Pretty smart, eh?
Anyway, took him up to the Ute Roc for the first time the other morning on his 100th day alive, and it occurred to me: Every time I lose a dog, they take away a piece of my heart, and every new dog who comes into my life, gifts me with a piece of their heart.
Maybe if I live long enough, all of the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are. Amen.

Grateful for Boebert
All the liberal letters denigrating Lauren Boebert’s Second Amendment support are mere extensions of Trump Detangement Syndrome. Gun-haters believe limiting law-abiding citizens’ gun rights will decrease crime.
