Letter: Feds just don’t get it

It’s hilariously amazing how tone-deaf the federal government is to local residents in regard to the Bureau of Land Management’s decision to give a two-year extension on 25 oil and gas leases in Thompson Divide.

I stand in solidarity on this issue with Aspen Skiing Co. and the billionaire Crowns as well as Sen. Gail Schwartz.

Dear way-too-giant federal government in D.C., please save Thompson Divide because, after all, democracy is local.
