Crown board drops the ball again

Once again, residents in the Crown Mountain Park and Recreation District have been blind-sided by its board of directors. This time it is failure to secure approval for a place to vote, thus misinforming those of us who live in the district where to cast our ballot, or pick up an absentee ballot.

This board’s previous blunder was an ill-conceived attempt to force a grandiose recreational facility that was not realistically financially sustainable, nor appropriate to our community, and was financially backed by the entity that would be putting together (and receiving a commission for) bonds to support that facility.

I do not think those of us who live in the Crown Mountain Park and Recreation District have been well served by the current board, and it is too bad that only one candidate is challenging the incumbents.

Perhaps the first order of business for incoming Crown Mountain Park and Recreation District board members should be to establish mail-in voting. Then no one will be misdirected.

Mask mandates are government overreach

I am not writing this as an opinion on pro-vax or anti-mask; this is strictly in regards to government overreach. I would like to think that I am well-versed in the regulations of private businesses…
