Letter: Congratulations to Thrift Shop scholarship winners
Every spring the scholarship committee for The Thrift Shop of Aspen is honored to select recipients for college scholarships. It is a nearly impossible task to choose only five candidates from the dozens of highly qualified and worthy applicants. This year we are proud to congratulate the following students:
Aspen High School
Gabriela Magana, University of Colorado Boulder
TJ Kaiser, Ithaca College
Shayla DeYoung, Colorado State University
Basalt High School
Nathaly Rivera, University of Northern Colorado
Roaring Fork High School
Mario Alverde, Colorado Mountain College
We are able to continue to provide these generous awards due to the support of community members who donate gently used items and clothing and to the shoppers who purchase them.

Kimbo for Aspen City Council
Vote for Kimbo Brown-Schirato for council. She’s the right choice at the right time for Aspen. She listens, works extremely well with others, and she’s effective.
