Letter: Burlingame an example of Torre’s commitment

As a longtime Aspen resident, I have seen Torre work tirelessly as a city councilman for the good of this town and its residents. His commitment to the livelihood of local businesses and to the people who keep them running has been unparalleled. His effort to make the Burlingame housing development a reality is one stellar example. I consider myself fortunate to be living in that neighborhood and know that countless numbers of my peers feel the same way. I think it’s very important to have a workforce that lives here in Aspen and contributes to the vitality of this great town. We all know how much our city depends on tourist dollars, and having a long-term core of people happy and willing to be part of that industry is only good for the economy. Obviously, this is a big part of Torre’s ideals and goals for Aspen, so please join me in voting to elect him mayor on Tuesday.
