Letter: Booster blessings

The Aspen High School fall sports teams should be proud of their great seasons! Behind the scenes, there were so many community members whose support helped build great school and districtwide spirit!

The high school Booster Club would like to thank the following people and groups for all they do to help keep the attitude bright:

The sponsors who are the backbone of our support: Atlantic Aviation, Avalanche Custom Painting, Christ Episcopal Youth Group, Elks Lodge No. 224, Farmers Insurance, Mountain Temp Services, the Potamkin family and Runaway Shovel.

The team behind our teams: Randy Ready and the city of Aspen for building the true spirit of homecoming; Zach Grissom and Independence Press for updating our football programs each home game; George Gordon for your generosity and help during games; the Rotary Club for the continuous refreshment donations; Mark Lampe and Maroon Creek Golf Club for moving our senior court in the right direction; Karin and Tod Wehse for concession anchoring during Friday night football games; Wendy Blakeslee and Mountain Flowers for truly beautiful flowers for our seniors and homecoming court; Michael and J.J. Campbell for making our Friday nights first rate; Stacey Green for coming through and scoring for our volleyball teams; and the chain gang (one and all) for keeping our lines straight.

The man: Dave LaGrua — is there anything you can’t do? A savior many times over!

Congratulations to the new athletic director, Jay Maher, for an incredible start to an incredible year!

Go, Skiers!
