Letter: Bigger is not better in Basalt

Old Town Basalt now has 60 hotel and motel rooms between the Aspenalt and Basalt Mountain Inn. As part of the Pan and Fork redevelopment, increasing Basalt’s hotel bed base by about 30 to 40 rooms with a new boutique hotel is the right size for old town Basalt and would be a welcome addition. Anything bigger is forcing unnecessary growth and would be out of character with Basalt.
