Letter: Baffled by the headlines
Baffled by the headlines
Dear Editor:
My coffee this morning is leaving a bad taste in my mouth! Or is it what I am reading in the newspaper that is responsible for that cat-crap taste?
In the newspaper there are two articles: One mentions sequestration and automatic budget cuts because our “representatives” cannot work things out and do what they were elected to do!
The other article — right next to that on — is about Basalt Town Council agreeing to pay $53,566 in taxpayers’ money for the whole O’Connor crap show! I am sure the fine citizens of Basalt don’t care what shirts the officers are wearing in summer!
And what about the s#@t show going on in the Snowmass-Wildcat fire department? Sounds like those hard working folks could use some outside, unbiased assistance.
Wow, what a time in American history I am living in! Politics are failing “We the People”!
