Letter: Backward business interests

The following is an excerpt from an article in the Aspen Daily News (“BLM moves to cancel 25 leases on the Thompson Divide,” July 30). David Ludlam is quoted as saying: “This precedent setting wrong perpetuated by an elite few against the mineral interest and energy resources owned by an entire nation.”

I love it when the self-righteous industry representatives step in their own pile of steaming crap. The land is owned by the entire nation. It’s not held in a trust just for the exploitation of special interest and short-term gain for a few.
