Letter: AspenOut announces local scholarships awarded
AspenOut is pleased to announce that in addition to our yearly grant recipients, we have created a college scholarship program for local graduating high school seniors. At our May board meeting, we awarded four scholarships to students who demonstrated their ability to overcome adversity and who prove to have potential in making positive changes in the world.
We would like to remind the community that we could not do this without its help and support during our annual fundraiser, Aspen Gay Ski Week.
Jan. 15 through 22 will be Aspen Gay Ski Week’s 40th anniversary. We are proud to be the original gay ski week. There are more than 20 gay ski weeks worldwide, and we are the only nonprofit. We promote tolerance, understanding and diversity for the LGBTQ community, families and allies with a focus on youth, education and community action!
