Letter: Another frivolous lawsuit
About that nurse who’s suing the Heritage Park Care Center in Carbondale because she got scared during a drill — are you serious? The story is you see a man with a gun (fake) who tells you he’s a cop (real) and you freak out (dumb).
The only thing you should be suffering from is a case of extreme embarrassment! But no. You find a respectable lawyer who sues not only Heritage but also the Carbondale cops!
Conclusion: Some people have no shame, and there are definitely too many lawyers. My wife is a patient at Heritage, where she receives excellent care. Frivolous lawsuits drive up the cost of everyone’s health care.
