Letter: An ally in the East

President Obama visited Japan recently. He met with Japan’s most nationalist prime minister, Shinzo Abe. Could he be a descendent of the biblical Abraham?

Abe has no apologies for Pearl Harbor or the war-crime acts against China, Korea or American prisoners, and the list goes on.

Well, we can’t live in the past. He deserves credit for motivating Japan to strengthen its security, economy and self-respect.

Japan is an ally we can depend upon. Let peace reign!
