Letter: A loss for District Attorney’s Office

I am so sorry to hear that Michael Warren is resigning as a prosecutor for the District Attorney’s Office! This is a sad loss for “we, the people.” I have been so impressed with how he treated everybody in the courtroom. He took the time to explain to people what their options were, as far as he could in his capacity as prosecutor, with none of the condescending, superior, attack-type of communication style that has been prevalent in some of our prosecutors in the past. He also took the time to communicate with affected parties outside the courtroom via phone and email to help people understand the process. The District Attorney’s Office has been lucky to have him, and I hope he is leaving in order to take up a position with one of our local law firms.
