Letter: A great alternative prom

The second annual Word Dance was a great success April 16 at The Launchpad in Carbondale. High school students from Aspen to Rifle performed spoken-word poetry and then danced the night away at this alternative prom. Thank you to Fusion Catering and Pan & Fork Restaurant for your generous donations; we indulged in your delectable food offerings and were genuinely grateful for your presence at the dance. Thank you to the 5Point Film Festival Dream Project and AspenOUT for your continued support of this event, as it couldn’t have happened without your financial backing. Finally, thank you to all of the local businesses and chaperones that have shown nothing but encouragement and love in making this event a success.
