Laser show a bust

While it is understandable that months ago, the risk of fire on Aspen Mountain was unpredictable, the choice to use Laser Encore to replace the traditional Fourth of July fireworks display was a big mistake. Not only was it almost entirely devoid of any artistic integrity, visually, the choice of music was base at best, and even the sound quality was disturbingly tinny.

The entire presentation felt like an assault on the senses. If you can’t do the fireworks, then please consider doing something a bit more worthwhile for next year. Major fail. Aspen can and should do better.
