Killer weapons too accessible

I will first say I am a gun owner and I have been a hunter since I was 12 years old. I am not an “anti-gun nut.” Nevertheless I am a bit outraged that there are Colt AR-15 assault rifles being sold in the classifieds in the Glenwood Springs Post Independent and its sister paper in Aspen.

Apparently it’s legal to advertise them, but there is a loophole in the gun laws that does not enforce a background check on the buyers. I will add that I am not a supporter of civilians owning assault rifles. More than anything, I am trying to start a conversation about these weapons being sold on the street like this.
