Hornbacher for Holy Cross Energy board

On June 4, Holy Cross Energy members will elect a new board member. I am encouraging members to vote for David Hornbacher.

I strongly believe that governing boards, particularly ones with as much community impact as Holy Cross Energy, should be well-balanced. Finding that balance between what’s possible and what’s practical is tricky but essential to solving tomorrow’s problems in a way that doesn’t repeat yesterday’s mistakes. David is a rare individual who strikes that balance. I work with David on the CORE board and interact with him in a professional capacity, as well. I appreciate his thoughtful assessment of the issues, honest dialogue and willingness to challenge the status quo. He’s one to do his homework, understand the numbers and truly get to the heart of how, why and of course — how much. He has over 30 years of utility experience as an analyst, managing engineer and manager for utilities such as the City of Colorado Springs, Xcel Energy and the city of Aspen, where he helped secure 100 percent renewable energy while keeping rates affordable.

If you’re a Holy Cross Energy member, please make the effort to vote, and vote for David Hornbacher on June 4.
