Don’t let Whole Foods into the beer business

Four Dogs Fine Wine & Spirits humbly asks that you support us and other local businesses in telling Basalt Town Council to vote “No” on Whole Foods Market’s recent application for a 3.2 percent beer license. If approved, the license will be grandfathered into a full-strength beer license Jan. 1 under new Colorado law. As a neighboring business, this is a major concern for us and puts us in direct competition with a national corporation.

The Roaring Fork Valley is a place where small businesses have been encouraged and supported. Shopping and supporting locals has always been a pinnacle part of our strong, supportive community. Our team has been striving to provide the best selection and service experience possible to our customers. We have always felt like a team with Whole Foods. The beer to their bratwurst, you might say. We look forward to continue to co-exist with our neighbors but do feel the town of Basalt does not need another competitor in the liquor retail world.

Please stop by Four Dogs to sign our petition and find out how you can show your support of our local business and tell Basalt Town Council “No” on new 3.2 pecent beer license applications in our community.

If you are interested in helping us on our mission, please consider joining the Four Dogs team in attendance at the town of Basalt council meeting regarding this topic. It will be held Tuesday at Basalt Town Hall. Please see the Town of Basalt website to view the meeting schedule. Thank you all so very much for you continued support. We love being your spirit guides!

More kindness, less judgment with Mulcahy

|

I would like to make a comment to Aspen-Pitkin County Housing Authority, city of Aspen, Aspen Skiing Co., etc. with the ongoing Lee Mulcahy drama that has infested our community. In fact, it really applies…
