Covid mortality rate is high enough

I am just wondering what death-rate percentage using the numbers Mr. Kirchenwitz presented would temper his attitude toward the ongoing efforts to control this pandemic (“It’s the liberal media’s fault,” letters, July 18, Is 4.09% or four people out of 100 significant enough? I am aware that sometimes figures lie but the reverse is also true.
