Aspen should use North Star for water
Dear honorable mayor and Aspen City Council members,
It makes no sense to pump water back to the treatment plant in Aspen from Woody Creek. It’s not an economical nor a very practical idea. Think of the energy waste!
Aspen has a natural existing underground water basin located under the existing North Star Nature Preserve that could be accessed without any detrimental effect to the local environment. I base my opinion upon long years of experience and my knowledge of local hydrology.
