Addressing racism head-on
Addressing racism head-on
Dear Editor:
Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has just written a book of fiction called “Americanah.” It is a love story weaving in and out of a very fine discussion of race (in America) and hair (yes, hair). The main character writes a blog that, taken as a whole, is one of the best inputs on America’s agony over the racism problem that continues to plague the nation. A conversation about race needs to happen, and Chimamanda goes to this need.
One can only hope that she comes to Aspen to promote her book.
