Letter: Support Basalt’s library in November elections

At least one part of this year’s ballot in Basalt shouldn’t be controversial: ballot measure 4A, which supports the Basalt Regional Library. For about what costs to buy two books annually, this measure allows the library to run full-throttle, with its frequently used community meeting space, safe, fun and educational after-school programming, a seed library (how cool is that?), and tons of activities for adults. We hope the Basalt community will join us in voting “yes” on 4A — it’s a very small investment in a very critical community resource.
