Letter: Stand up to big-money development

Quick question? Do hundreds of more people and vehicles right across Highway 82 from the Blue Lake subdivision sound like a good idea to you?

Didn’t think so.

After being rejected once already by the Eagle County commissioners, Keith Ehlers and his big-money backers are back again with their updated proposal. The only problem is, it does nothing to address the many flaws with the original plan.

The residents of the surrounding neighborhoods made their voice loud and clear in April against this development. Of course these greedy developers could not care less.

If you care about your quality of life in the midvalley, please come at 4 p.m. Thursday to the Eagle County Community Center at Crown Mountain. If you can’t attend, drop an email to the Eagle County commissioners at eagleadmin@eaglecounty.us.

Some people out there might accuse me of being one of those NIMBY people. That’s just fine with me, because I kind of like my back yard the way it is.
