Letter: Shining Stars gives thanks

On behalf of the Shining Stars Foundation and Aspen Elks Lodge No. 224, we would like to thank the Aspen community for its generous support of the Aspen Elks Lodge No. 224 Charity Golf Tournament held Sept. 25. This tournament will help Shining Stars Foundation reach its goal of serving 70-plus brand-new pediatric cancer patients and their families, in addition to the over 700 families already being served. Most are newly diagnosed or facing a daunting relapse.

Thank you to major sponsors A*Ok Plumbing & Heating and Pacific Sheet Metal. Thank you, also, to our hole sponsors: Tom and Carolyn Moore; the Copito family; the Aboodi, Hoffman and Barnes families; Aspen Junior Hockey; Pediatric Partners; Charles Cunniffe Architects; Mountain Temp Services; Alpine Bank; Starbucks; Art Forward; Drew and Kathy Berkman; George T. Sanders Co.; Mr. Vac Inc.; All Valley Maintenance & Mechanical; Mountain Interiors; Poss Architecture & Planning; and Thurston Kitchen & Bath.

Lastly, a special thank you to the Aspen Elks Lodge No. 224 and Gary LaCouter, Kim Kaler and Danielle Leffler for making this all possible.

Megan Bryant
