Letter: Jill Stein for president

Welcome to the political theater of the absurd. How did we end up in this farce, stuck with the two most reviled candidates in recent history? If you’re keeping up with the revelations from Wikileaks, Edward Snowden, and the author of “Confessions of an Economic Hitman,” John Perkins, your eyes should be opened to the systemic corruption and collusion between government agencies and corporate interests. As more and more details are exposed, it’s hard to fathom how this two-party election is anything other than another elaborate con job. No matter who gets elected, “business as usual” will most likely be the biggest winner.

I, for one, just can’t take any more business as usual. And neither can the planet. It’s critical that we get off fossil fuels and change to clean energy right now. And we have to stop perpetrating these wars, occupying other nations, and selling weapons to everyone on the planet. And what about the debt, particularly our student debt? What kind of a country puts their young people in a trillion dollars of debt? Well, that would be a country owned by the bankers. We should be ashamed. Enough of this. I want to bail out our students this time, not the crooks on Wall Street. Is there a candidate who supports these critical issues? Yes, that would be Dr. Jill Stein of the Green Party. These are the issues in her platform, but most people don’t even know who she is, thanks to a shutout by the mainstream media. We do know that Trump is a travesty. And Hillary is a war hawk, the darling of Wall Street, and the queen of fracking. Who’s the lesser of two evils!?

I can’t figure it out. So I’m going to vote my beliefs, my values and my conscience this time. You can vote your fears. I’m with Jill (JILL2016.com).
