Letter: How to monetize Aspen’s malls

The city should cover the entire walking mall in a smooth coat of clear resin. This will preserve the brick pavers while still allowing people to view them, reduce snow-removal costs and enable well-heeled ladies to walk in comfort and safety, thus increasing foot traffic and sales for vendors with an increase in sales tax revenue for the city.

If the resin is thick enough, it also will have the effect of allowing everyone to feel as if they are walking on air while in Aspen. Thank you for your consideration and have a great day.
