Letter: Clearing up errors on Basalt’s library question

Voters beware: The TABOR statement against the Basalt Library District’s question 4A is not fact-checked.

The “con” statement claiming the library doesn’t need additional funding is false information. The writer did not read the financial statements correctly and is misleading voters. This is not opinion. It is fact. The reserves available for operating funds are insufficient to continue with current levels of service. Please vote “yes” on 4A to support existing services provided by the library.
