Letter: Changes afoot at Aspen Science Center
November 17, 2016
The Aspen Science Center is excited to announce that we have hired a new operations manager. Keith Berglund has joined the organization in this new capacity. Keith will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the Science Center, overseeing all areas of operation, working closely with the board of directors and the president.
Prior to joining the Aspen Science Center, Keith was the executive director of the Aspen Youth Center, an organization that provides after-school programming for youth in Aspen. He holds a bachelor's of arts in biology from Occidental College and has many years of experience teaching science and math, including at the Aspen Country Day School and Vail Mountain School, among others, as well as extensive nonprofit leadership experience.
Keith brings a wealth of science education, nonprofit leadership and experience implementing and delivering programs for youth. His biology background complements the strong physics backgrounds of our other staff and board members. Keith's hiring follows the recruitment of Education Coordinator Maya Hunt this past summer, and represents another strong step in the growth of Aspen Science Center. His blend of skills is a perfect match for the Science Center, and we are very excited to have Keith on board.
Tuesday, Dec. 6, is Colorado Gives Day. Don't forget to include Aspen Science Center in your year-end giving! And look for our Physics Cafes starting this January at the Wheeler Opera House and Aspen Center for Physics!
President, Aspen Science Center
