Letter: Aspen schools need your support

The list of areas the Aspen School District, through its teachers and staff, is good at, and in many instances is really great at, could fill this entire paper. Yet they do this every year under the pressure of not knowing if they will get all the money they need.

It’s the sad truth that our state does not fully fund our local schools and we have to resort to local measures such as 2A and 2D to fill the funding gap. Please vote “yes” for 2A if you reside in Snowmass Village or “yes” for 2D if you reside in the city of Aspen on or before Nov. 8. Your mail-in ballot should arrive by the middle of next week. Support your teachers and staff, your public schools and your community children.
