Letter: A money pit

A money pit

Dear Editor:

I can think of 80 million reasons not to build a parking garage under Wagner Park. Eighty million dollars in bonds at 3 percent would cost $2.4 million a year to service. If the average car paid $10 a day, it would take 657 cars a day, 365 days a year just to break even!

At 4 percent it would require 877 cars per day.
