Johnson: Some places are meant to be wild

I put down roots up the Fryingpan 33 years ago. The story on the Beyul Retreat is disturbing. All trust in the personnel, ownership and operation is lost. Their story is unbelievable. The words “community” and “local” were mentioned more than once in the write-up; however, one would be hard pressed to find an actual local attending such a disrespectful event in such a pristine place.

Ironic how the ownership changed at the same time as the big buyout of the COVID real estate frenzy. Community asset, my left foot. Keep Disneyland in Aspen. Some places are meant to be wild, and some people have no business being there.
