Gregory: Murdock’s right about Trump

Writing in response to Gina Murdock’s commentary in the Aspen Times, Feb. 2.

I join you in praying in despair at the world around me. I am appalled at what is happening so very rapidly in the USA. This is not the future so many hoped and prayed for.

As a woman of faith and Christian for 40-plus years, often I wonder why God is not intervening right now. Like you, I cannot fathom how so many good (and often people of deep faith) believe a convict, sexual predator, and narcissist will make America great. Especially one who so arrogantly stated that it is none other than God who saved him from an assassin’s bullet, so that he alone can make America great again.

The God I know works in mysterious ways!

Maybe by bringing you and me to our knees, begging for Him to intercede and stop the madness which is unfolding on a daily basis, that is what will make America a great nation.

God declared through the prophet Micah (6:8) what He requires of mankind. It is, “To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God”

This is how God will judge the performance of the current administration. From the first couple of weeks, it’s not looking good. Be prepared for a bumpy ride and to be on your knees for the next four years.

“Please God make America Great in the way that you alone measure greatness. Let your kingdom come and your will be done.”
