Genschs: Support for Kolbe
We have known Emily Kolbe since she moved to Aspen from Michigan as a fourth grader. Watching her grow from an energetic young girl into a competent, successful woman has been an inspiration and a delight. This letter of support for her isn’t so much about the Entrance to Aspen or the loss of affordable local shops in town as it is about Emily.
She knew Aspen “back when,” and she knows Aspen today. She experienced the challenges and evolution in the growth of this unique town. She is a woman of deep integrity, sky-high intelligence, great courage, unbounded energy, and out-of-the-box solid yet flexible thinking.
Whatever the issues of today are, or of tomorrow, you can trust the future of Aspen into her hands. There are myriad issues, and there are candidates of all kinds. As voters, our highest responsibility is to choose candidates for who they are … for the high personal qualities they possess.
Given that priority, the very best Aspen can do is to elect Emily Kolbe to serve on the Aspen City Council.
