The pending close of the Red Onion continued to spur comment from online readers of The Aspen Times last week. So did the topic of gas drilling and the Dec. 3 guest column from a Snowmass man who took issue with being derogatorily labeled a “hippie.”

An article regarding last week’s Aspen showing of the film “A Land Out of Time,” which documents the long-term impact of gas drilling on Western lands, provoked a couple of readers.
