High times at Highlands
Aspen, CO Colorado

ALL |
The first closing celebration at Aspen Highlands kicked off Sunday, April 6. Parties popped up all over the mountain from Joint Point to the Monkey Lounge. Cloud Nine was a hot spot, with music blaring both inside and outside of the mountain cabin.
Chef Andreas Fischbacher led the charge as he and his staff wrapped up another great season with sensational cuisine and hospitable service for one last day. Both sides of the restaurant were filled to the gills with guests feasting on haute cuisine and dancing on the tables and chairs.
By mid-afternoon the crowd had swelled to epic proportions at the base for the pond skimming contest, Corona swilling and live music from the Butchers. DJ Dylan and DJ Naka G picked up where the band left off, and kept the beat going well past sundown.
After taking this weekend off, Highlands will reopen April 19-20 and April 26-27 with Exhibition, Loge and Deep Temerity lifts running daily from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., providing access to the entire mountain including the Bowl. The Merry-Go-Round will be open each weekend, serving a limited lunch menu.
All Aspen/Snowmass season passes are valid as they are during the regular season. Adult tickets will be $39 per day, youth and senior tickets will be $35, and children’s tickets will be $25. As always, children six and under ski for free. As an added bonus, employees from any other ski resort with a current season picture pass will only be charged $12 per lift ticket. Here’s to spring skiing.
