Caskey: When funkiness was fun

Once upon a time, perhaps in the ’80s, we had a Conflict Resolution Board. I find myself longing for it again as I read about Mark Tye’s front yard signs/artwork, which I find wonderfully old Aspen where funkiness was fun and an essential part of our community character.
I have known Phyllis Bronson for a long time and know her demonstrated commitment to this community and her love of it.
I wonder … what if those two dedicated community members could peek across the fence and find a way to jointly ask for help from the community and all of us could find a “just and lasting” peace?
It would have to begin with Phyllis and Mark. All I read suggests to me that the issue at hand blew up, surprising each of them. Would a local moderator in town give her/his services pro bono to let us/them learn a safe, non-threatening, neutral setting how much those two have in common?
What if … ?
