Brown-Schirato: Your vote truly matters

You will soon get the opportunity to vote for your local city council. This election feels more critical than ever to have committed, seasoned, and balanced council members help lead our town and larger community.

I am writing today to encourage you to vote for Christine Benedetti. She is a long-time local who understands how city government works (from her years as a journalist), an engaged community member (from her extensive non-profit board experience to her service on the Planning and Zoning Commission), and just someone you can sit down with and debate in an intelligent and thoughtful manner on all issues.

During my time working with Christine on local initiatives, I am always impressed and humbled by her willingness and ability to understand the issue, ask thoughtful questions, and give a thoughtful opinion. Most importantly — please vote! In this tiny town, where elections are won on a handful of votes, your vote truly matters.
