Bayer Center staff: A note of gratitude to the Aspen Thrift Shop

The Bayer Center would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Aspen Thrift Shop for its generous support of our public programming.

Because of this support, we are able to continue our free public tours of the Aspen Institute campus. As our mission suggests, the Bayer Center preserves and honors the art of Herbert Bayer, who designed the iconic campus and whose multifaceted work represents the fullest expression of the Bauhaus movement in America.

Hearing the story of the beginnings of Aspen, the Aspen Institute, and the “making of modern Aspen” as we know it today on a campus tour offers locals and visitors a wonderful introduction to Aspen’s intellectual and creative history. We are honored to be able to share our community’s story and the ideas on which modern Aspen was founded; the Aspen Thrift Shop’s commitment to helping us make our mission a reality is truly appreciated.

Thank you for awarding us a grant that will help us preserve our collective legacy. To sign up for a tour, visit bayercenter.org.

With appreciation,

The Bayer Center staff
