Wesley Raymond Holman Sr.

Wes was the eldest of two children born to Raymond C. Holman and Helen G (Hoover). Wes grew up in the Oxford area of Kansas, when he joined the Air Force in 1952. In 1956 Wes and Ruth Louise Holloway married. Wes moved his family in 1960 to Aspen to join his in-laws, Gilbert and Irene Holloway. Louise and Wes made their home in Woody Creek where they raised their family of seven children. Wes worked for the Aspen School District from 1971-1990. He enjoyed many years of service to the school district as the middle school custodian and bus driver. He was also a member of the Aspen Booster Club.

He is survived by his wife Sharon Balogh Holman, Sister Marie (Ray) Gerrits, Oshkosh WI, Sons Wesley (DeDe) Holman, Lubbock, TX, Carl Holman, Aspen, Jimmie (Dianna) Holman, Galesburg, MI, Brian (Kim) Holman, Grand Junction, CO, Robert (Amy) Holman, Kalamazoo, MI, Joseph (Michelle) Holman, Aspen and daughter Holly (Kris) Adler of Atlanta, GA. Grandchildren, Jessica, Rachael, Hannah, Caitlin, Eric, Jason, Brandon, Cambrie, Tyler Holman and Megan Williams.

Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Oxford Kansas. Military Committal Services will follow at the Oxford Cemetery.
