Nov 12, 1990 - Feb 26, 2014

Raymond Joseph Vieira, born in Aspen on 12 November 1990 was 23 when he passed away 26 February 2014 in Snowmass Village.

Although his final moments were filled with sadness and personal struggles, he will be remembered for all the happiness and the joy he brought to others. Whether you knew him from AVSC, Aspen High School or CMC, on the slopes, at the ice rink, attending church or ran into him around town, chances are you knew him for his contagious smile, his laugh, and his loyalty and dedication to the people and things he held closest. Raymond desired to help others in any way he could, had great passion for all things outdoors such as snowboarding, biking, hiking, fishing and camping. Equipped with a unique sense of humor, Ray had a knack to get even the most serious or down friend to crack a smile. Ray was truly a great son, brother, uncle, friend and all around amazing guy that may have passed but his memory and spirit will live on with us forever in our hearts.

Raymond is survived by his parents Kim (Vieira) and Roger Baillargeon; his father Robert Vieira and his step-family Mikal J. Saul, Alexandra Ryan, Mary, Kory, and Britney Ferguson, his niece Catherine Rose , and nephew Damien Mikal. Raymond will also be missed by his many aunts, uncles and cousins living on the east coast. A celebration of Ray’s life will take place on Saturday, 15 March 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Church, Main St. Aspen. A reception will immediately follow and all are welcome.

For anyone going through their own battles and personal struggles, please reach out to someone who will lend an ear like a friend, a family member, a stranger or the Aspen Hope Center (970) 925-5858.
