We have recently lost a very good friend, John Sorrell.
John grew up in Shelbyville, Indiana, in the beautiful heartland of America where he had many lifelong friends. After graduating from Ball University, he ventured out into America following his love of working with horses. Many times, John was flown to some of the biggest thoroughbred and quarter-horse races and trade shows in the United States to assist with the events.
Eventually his ventures brought him to the Western Slope of Colorado. Settling the Roaring Fork Valley, John spent more than 20 years working for skier services at Snowmass Ski Area where he developed many lasting friendships. John also helped the gang at CTS Limousine Services in Aspen. In his semi-retirement years, John moved to Montrose, Colorado, where he mountain biked, kayaked, and summitted many of the 14ers in the northern San Juan Mountain skyline.
John made friends wherever he went. Fun, kind and loyal, John always had your back. Rest in Peace old Friend.
Staple Snowmass store to close as owner retires
