Nikolai Wells Petkov

Nikolai was 22, an Aspen native with amazing ideas and fantastic artistic talent. With a real magnetism all his own, Nikolai’s witty, caring individuality transformed the lives of his friends, teachers, the skiing community and his family. He was happily immersed in his visionary creativity in the Industrial Design department at Metro State University Denver. Nikolai was an adventurous skier and mountain biker and he loved being a Skico instructor for kids.

Ivan Petkov, Nikolai’s father, passed away September 8, 2012. Nikolai is survived by his mother Sharon Wells, her companion Dick Carter and family, his Bulgarian grandmother Diana Petkov, and his huge extended family. Nikolai was the absolute light of Sharon and Ivan’s lives. Nikolai’s memorial and reception will be on June 5th, at 3 p.m, Aspen Country Day, Music School Rd.
