‘Niko’ Nicholas Burton Botner

“Niko” Nicholas Burton Botner passed away peacefully October 14, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born May 26, 1992 to Stacy Stanek and Brian Botner in Denver Colorado. He moved to Silt in 1999 with his twin brother Ian Botner. Niko graduated from Coal Ridge High School in 2010. He went on and received an Associate’s degree in 2013 from Wyotech College in Laramie Wyoming. He returned to the valley and recently worked at Alpine Tire and Berthoud Motors as an auto mechanic. He was a loving father to his daughter Alice Botner, son and friend to all that knew him.

We will miss him dearly and have him in our hearts forever. Niko is preceded in death by his grandparents Lyle and Martha Botner, great grandparents John and Josie Ruzicka of Grafton North Dakota, great grandparents, Leo and Florence Stanek, and Michael and Vivian Knopik of Little Falls Minnesota. He is survived by his mother Stacy Stanek and father Brian Botner, his twin brother Ian Botner, his daughter Alice Botner, his grandparents Charles and Cheryl Stanek and his Aunt Maria Burnham.

A memorial will be held Saturday November 5th from 1pm to 4pm at the Rifle Tap House, 1733 Railroad Ave, Rifle Colorado. A fund has been set up at ANB Bank. Donations should be made to the Niko Botner memorial fund.
