Mitchell Louis Sydoryk

Mitchell Louis Sydoryk, 59, of Carbondale passed away July 29, 2013. Mitchell was born in Patterson, New Jersey on November 21, 1953 to Michael and Goldie (Takacs) Sydoryk.

Mitchell, Mitch to his friends, was a man of many talents. As a builder and carpenter, he constructed the Missouri Heights home where he and his wife Kathy have lived for 30 years.

Mitch moved to Aspen, Colorado in 1976. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, camping and boating but was most at home skiing on Aspen Mountain. Mitch was a loving husband to his wife, Kathy and a devoted father to his two sons, Luke (21) and Ben (18). As a friend, Mitch always seemed to find the perfect compliment and was consistently thoughtful and considerate.

Mitch is survived by his wife, Kathy Sydoryk, and his sons, Luke & Ben Sydoryk.

The family plans a mass for family and friends at St. Vincent’

s, 250 Midland Avenue, Basalt, Colorado on Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Mitch’s Life to follow the service at the family home. The burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Basalt, Colorado on Friday, August 9, 2013 at 10:00 a.m.
