Jerry McCarthy

Aspen Architect for 31 years died on December 12, 2013. He is survived by his his wife Betty McCarthy, 2 sons Jeffrey and Brant McCarthy, 1 daughter Jan McCarthy and 2 grand children Caila and Avery McCarthy.

Jerry Graduated from the University of Cincinnati School of Architecture. He served 2 years in the Army in Germany. He was a member of the Aspen Elks and had served several years on the Pitkin County Planning and Zoning Board. He and a group of Aspen Architects and locals were instrumental in designing and creating Aspen’s first outdoor mall.

Services will be private. The family wishes in lieu of flowers that you buy and read a good book, then donate it to a Senior Citizens Center.
