James Howes Martindale Jr.

James Howes Martindale, Jr., 64, of Mooresville, NC, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015. He was born on August 11, 1950, in Middletown, OH to the late James Howes Martindale, Sr. and Sarah Crane Martindale. James enjoyed outdoor activities especially hiking, sailing and snow skiing. He was a restaurateur for several years working in Aspen, CO, Chevy Chase, MD, and Vero Beach, FL. He retired from Southern Concrete, Charlotte, NC, where he had worked in the Quality Control Department.

James is survived by his children, Kristan Haas (Jason) of Jacksonville, FL, John J. Martindale of Charleston, SC and Michael J. Martindale of Salisbury, MD; sister, Jennifer Muzquiz (Juan) of Middletown, OH; brother, John Martindale also of Middletown, OH; grandchildren, Lincoln and Tennyson Haas; nephew, Jimmy Muzquiz of Middletown, OH and a niece, Liza Weiner of New York, NY. A Celebration of Life will be held in the near future. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home & Crematory, Mooresville, NC, is serving the Martindale family.
